You can bring the clients you already have into your dashboard, from a spreadsheet or from the system you used before. They join your client list right away. A client you import hears nothing from your shop until they sign your waiver form, and gets your emails and texts once they opt in there.
How do I import my clients?
In your dashboard, go to Marketing, then Clients, and press Import your client list. Under Paste or upload your list, paste your clients one to a line, or press Choose a CSV file and pick a spreadsheet saved as CSV. Each client needs a name and an email, a mobile number or both. The page shows what it read, and the lines it couldn't read, before anyone is added. A client already on your list is never added twice.
We keep the file you imported with your shop's records, so a line the page couldn't read is still there, and we go through those lines by hand.
An Excel file, or a list the page couldn't read? Under Send us a spreadsheet, email it to us and we bring it in.
When does an imported client get my emails and texts?
Once they sign your waiver form and opt in. Until they sign it, a client you import gets nothing from your shop: no email, no text and no offer.
When they sign your waiver form at their next visit, they're a client like any other. Your thank-you goes to them, and they see the same 2 optional boxes every client sees: one for their aftercare and healing, and one for your news, offers and events. A box they tick opts them in to what it says, by email, and by text when they give a mobile number.
Can the opt-ins from my old system come with my clients?
If the system you used before recorded that a client opted in to texts from your shop, send us its export and tell us which system it was. We bring those opt-ins over with your clients, so those clients get your texts about your news, offers and events. A client it has no opt-in for opts in on your waiver form, like everyone else, and your emails go only to clients who opt in there.
Can I text clients who never opted in?
No. A text with an offer needs the client's own yes, in writing, before it goes, and texting a list that never gave one can get a shop fined. That's why a client you import waits for their own yes on your waiver form. Texting your clients covers who gets a text and what it costs.
